The Beauty of Salvation

What is a rose without petals?
A rose without petals is no rose at all.  A rose is defined by it’s petals that together provide a colorful display of the creative genius of God.
The natural world is valued for what it seen by the natural eye.
However, the world of the spirit and the economy of God is not based on these, for they are but temporary displays of a passing fashion.

Our world puts value on what they estimate as beauty.  One person is lifted up in worship and another is turned aside.  For those who find themselves favored with the genetic disposition of beauty, how hard is it to realize as the nature of our world causes that which was valued to pass.

I heard it said, “What mother nature gave you, father time will take from you.”

In our natural world, a Rose is it’s petals, for without it’s petals it is no rose at all.  However the true beauty of the Child of God far exceed what is seen and judged by this temporary world.  There is a special nature of our spiritual gifts given by God; they are of no passing nature, but eternal in disposition.

The beauty of a christian is more than the external layers of our flesh and it’s arrangement.

When the prophet was sent to the house of Jessie to anoint a king.  The first born walked into the room and Samuel said within himself, “Surely this is him.”  However the Lord spoke into the heart of this man of God a spiritual principle, “You are looking on the outward appearance, but I look at the heart.”
What God knew of David did not discount his physical appearance, but recognized that he had something his brothers lacked.
When the scripture foretold of the incarnation of Christ, “he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.”

Consider this, the greatest man who ever lived

was not Handsome and dashing as this world would define beauty.  This man who was the Word made flesh and within Him held the Glory of God without measure.  From this man, the greatest wisdom ever shared and recorded throughout the history of all mankind came from a vessel who was not defined by his dimples and pretty eyes.

However, beauty has never existed as it was displayed in the Man Christ Jesus.  For he was the embodiment of the greatest Love ever known. The illustration of the most sublime art, Mercy became a man.

As a recipient of His Love and Mercy I can sing with the prophets,

“He is the Rose of Sharon, he is the Lily of the Valley, He is the Bright and Morning Star!”

He is like no other.
When his persecutors peeled the petals off of his humanity,
Beaten, shamed, stripped and defamed and murdered the most cruel death.

It was in this condition where the body had been disposed of that we see the Glory of God.

Jesus was not seen as Christ until he was seen after Death.

This truth is true for us as Christians.

When time has wrinkled our face,
stress has grayed the hair,
Hardship has left a limp in our gait,
and trouble has creased the brow…

The beauty and treasure of this current condition is found to be of an eternal nature.

A man or woman and their beauty is more than the petals on the rose.   Our treasure, our hope and our unfailing faith accelerates in value when we see that our hope is the Lord Jesus Christ.  He being the first fruit of the Resurrection.

Death is but a temporary rest.
Hell is no longer our verdict.

The Grave is no longer holds forever on to our
corruption.

“So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:”  I Corinthians 15:42-43

A Rose without Petals is no rose at all.

However,
Christian beauty is not based on the outward appearance nor their value based on current balance sheets.

It is the treasure of unspeakable Joy.  It is the earnest of our inheritance that salves our wounds and joys us in our trouble.

Truly He has beautified the meek with Salvation,

In Him, By Him, Through Him,

Psalm 24

1The earth is the LORD’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
2For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
3Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
7Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
8Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
9Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
10Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
