An Airplane Graveyard

Built and Designed to fly in the skies, the picture of thousands of flightless planes spoke to me this morning.  Like sheep without a shepherd, a saint without a prayer, a preacher without a burden a child without a home, some things just are so wrong, that the image of it is sad.

You know it requires no talent or intelligence to be a critic.  However some have traded in their ability to fly, to soak in the bitter stew of past conflicts and has rendered the plane flightless.  We can get so caught up in the planes that crash, that we don't understand it is our duty to fly.  We were created for another dimension, not to be grounded in the details of past missteps and mistakes.

Let us lift our eyes skyward, and shake off the dust of these temporary setbacks and begin to make a flight plan and go through the needed steps to get ready to lift ourselves from the sandy desert of discontent and go to a place where the details of earth fade into the scenery of a vision that can only be captured from the sky.

Some times we can so disassemble parts of our lives and situations that we don't understand, that it may take a little time to get our hearts and minds in the right place to be able to accomplish what we need to do.  However, what effort is not worthy to reassemble our resolve and burden, to one more time look from the lofty skies and see things as only God can show us.

My thought for the day is simply, if you were created to dwell in the realm of victory, why settle for living in the graveyard of carnality.   Lets step up, kneel down and enter that dimension found only in prayer, fasting, sacrifice and bearing burdens.

" Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.   The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:   And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together."

So lets get ready to Take off and walk, live and exist in a realm of victory and vision.

In Him, By Him, Through Him,

"If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.  Col 3:1-4

If your wondering where this came from, I was reading where a lady was building a house out of an old airplane.  It showed just a snapshot of where they store old planes... and from that, the inspiration came.

Very interesting pictures.
