The Nature of Absolute

This is an interesting thing to ponder while comparing and contrasting humanity and God.   God is not like us.   We are created in his image, but a refection is simply a reflection of something that is full and substantive.   We see glimmers of gods nature, like flashes of light reflected in the ripples in the water, now you see it, now you don’t.

Mans strength and quality is with qualification.   Like weight classes in boxing or weight lifting, their ability is qualified by what class they are in.   Its not fair to compare the ability of a eight foot man with a five foot man.

We are a mingled creation.   We are flesh, but more than flesh.  We are spirit, but not just spirit.

We are soul... but more than soul.  Everything man does, is, can and should be with qualifications.

We live in a world and reality that there are always exceptions to the exceptional.   I woke up on the right side of the bed... today.

I prayed today, but yesterday...

Spirit is willing..... but the flesh is weak.

I am young, but I will be old.

I am alive, but I will die

I am 36, but I will be 37.

I am, but I am not.

The awesomeness of God is to see he is everything that man is not.

To compare God to Man is like a the impossibility being faced by the little guy in the picture.  They have the same form, but one is not to be compared to the other.

In everything that he is and everything that he says, God is Absolute.

The Nature of an Absolute

The dictionary lists the following as definitions for the word absolute.

perfect or complete or pure

complete and without restriction or qualification

expressing finality with no implication of possible change

without conditions or limitations

something that does not depends on anything else and is beyond human control;

not capable of being violated or infringed

God is Absolute.

Perfect, Complete and Pure

What he is, he is and what he is not, he is not.

Lets consider a few things that God is.

God is a Spirit Absolutely!

“..shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?”

God is a Spirit.  A spirit hath not flesh and blood, but is like the wind un seeable, but real and tangible all the same.

At the beginning of creation, God demonstrates his nature in the opening preamble of his word.

“           In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.   And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”

Absolutely I can say with all certainty since the creation of Time, GOD is a SPIRIT.

Gods reality is not our reality.  We are confined by time and space, but God is eternal.  We are beset by weakness and trouble, but God has no weakness and there is nothing that is a problem for him.   He is Spirit, the Father of All spirits.   You and are a but a grain of sand around the ocean that is God.  Our substance and essence sprang from the mind and nature of God.

God is One Absolutely!

After all the theologians get through giving their intellectual gymnastic lesson.  After the philosophers pontificate with all analogies they can muster, we must understand that The Word of God describes God best.   He demonstrated his power and purpose time after time in many different ways and forms.  The Jews knew him as EL, ELOHIM, EL SHADDAI, ADONAI, JEHOVAH, JEHOVAH-JIREH, JEHOVAH-ROPHE, JEHOVAH-NISSI, JEHOVAH-M'KADDESH, JEHOVAH-SHALOM, JEHOVAH ELOHIM, JEHOVAH-TSIDKENU,JEHOVAH-ROHI, JEHOVAH-SHAMMAH, JEHOVAH-SABAOTH, KADOSH, EL ROI.... and the list goes on and on and on the in the representation in which God revealed himself.  But at the conclusion, God is One Absolutely, without division or part.  The sum of all God is, his Number is totaled in One.

I know many in the religious world say that God is three or a trinity, I think this is an effort to understand God.  However listen to the words of Jesus, "He that hath seen me has seen the Father."   Without a doubt we see God as Father, and we see Jesus as the Son, and we see the operation of the Holy Ghost.   However we are straying in our understanding when we try to say these are three seperate and distinct person or personalities.  This is counter what the scripture teaches.  So what do you do when 99% of Christianity is wrong?  Let the Word of God Frame your understanding.   And those things that are hard to be understood, accept in faith what God says about himself.  He knows himself pretty well I would think.   And God is emphatic, He is one, there is no savior beside him.   Including all the names of God, the only name that you need to know is Jesus.  In Jesus was see his Nature, we see his Number and we know his Name.   In Him, dwelt all the fullness of the Godhead bodily and we are complete in him who is the head of all things.   Jesus came in His Fathers Name.  Jesus is the name of the Son.  And Jesus said, that the comforter would come in His Name.  So you want to know the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost?  Read the Word.  Jesus, Jesus, Jesus!

God is Absolutely One!

God Is Holy

Through out scripture, we see this is an attribute that only explains completely God.  If we are going to follow after him, we are going to have to have a revelation of our common nature and his Holiness.  The more we understand his Holiness the more circumspect we will walk and more careful we will live.   Not to earn anything, but to handle with care and concern what he has given us.

God is Light Absolutely

When God said let there be light, there was light.  To further the definition, he divided the light from the darkness.  He called the darkness night and the light he called day.  No matter how dim, light pierces darkness.  No matter how dark, dark may be, it is no longer truly dark when any measure or form of light is introduced.

“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.”

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”

God is Love Absolutely!

What is Love?   Read it and find the Nature of God described.

1 Cor 13:4-8

God is Love

I Jn 4:16-21

“And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.   Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.            We love him, because he first loved us.

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.”

Gods Word is Truth Absolutely

“Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.”

“For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”

His Word is Truth.   Even when we don’t perceive its possibility or understand it’s practical application, at the end of the Day his Word reigns supreme.   The harder science tries to disprove the validity of scripture the more they confirm it.

Nasa recently came to the conclusion and began to model the effects of a worldwide fresh water flood they think happened 8,000 years ago.  article

The harder they try, they more they make this point more clear, God’s word is true absolutely.  Those areas we don’t understand, we would do well to believe first in the word, and not worry what the educational establishment says.

Gods Purpose is Absolute

This is the clincher.  Gods purpose fits in with his nature.

He brings light into darkness.  He brings love into heartache.  He brings truth into confusion.

His Purpose is to impart his ABSOLUTE SELF TO YOU.

God is a Spirit, and he wants to fill you with his Spirit

God is Light, and he wants to fill you with his light

God is Love, and he wants to wrap you up, fill you up and pour out on you his love.

“And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”   Romans 5:5

There are not many absolutes in this world.   But there is one absolute that you can wrap your mind, heart and faith around and it will take you, keep you and preserve you till the end of the world.

The Lesson/Sermon Notes.

Below is what made me quit sleeping and write it down.    This is my message for in the morning.   If it preaches like I am feeling it, Watch out Devil, we are about to take some souls to heaven with us!

I was literally laying there at three in the morning and my mind started churning on this.   I thought, If I am going to get any sleep, I better get up now.

If any of you have any insight or inspiration share it with me and I will try to encorporate it into the article that is coming.

The Nature of Absolute

The introduction, is to contrast the Absolute Nature of God, by dealing with the mingled manner of man.

Mans nature is with qualification.

We are flesh, but more than flesh.

We are spirit, but not just spirit.

We are soul... but more than soul.

Everything man does, is, can and should be with qualifications.

Exceptions to the Exceptional.

Rom 5:1-8

1            Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

2          By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

3          And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

4          And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

5          And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

6          For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

7          For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

8                    But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

John 3:16-21

16        For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17        For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18        He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19        And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

20        For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

21        But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

John 4:24            God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Absolutely I can say with all certainty since the creation of Time, GOD is a SPIRIT.

Gen 1:1-5

1          In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2          And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3          And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4          And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

5          And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Light is Absolute

When God said let there be light, there was light.  To further the definition, he divided the light from the darkness.  He called the darkness night and the light he called day.  No matter how dim, light pierces darkness.  No matter how dark, dark may be, it is no longer truly dark when any measure or form of light is introduced.

James 1:17

17        Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Love is Absolute

1 Cor 13:4-8  Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

5          Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6            Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7          Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

8          Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

God is Love

I Jn 4:16-21

16        And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

21        And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

2 Pet 1:21

21        For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Gods Purpose is Absolute

John 1:9-14

9          That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10        He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11        He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12        But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13        Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14        And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

His Purpose is to impart his ABSOLUTE SELF TO YOU.
